Summary
The movie filming continues as Mikuru is constantly being manipulated by Haruhi. Against the curious eyes of the bystanders, even Kyon gets embarrassed. Haruhi orders Mikuru to shoot lasers out of her eyes a.k.a the Mikuru Beam. Mikuru says that it is impossible so Haruhi punishes her by lightly tapping her head with the paper made megaphone. Kyon forcibly grabs her to stop her from hitting Mikuru. She then tells Kyon that he does’nt know how to take a joke. Haruhi then teaches Mikuru the pose needed to do a successful Mikuru beam. When the time comes to film the Mikuru beam, Mikuru musters the strength to say “Mikuru Beam” and out came a flash of light from her eye. Yuki blocks the flash of light from hitting Kyon, and tackles Mikuru. After Yuki gets off of Mikuru, they notice that Mikuru lost her contact lens. Kyon asks if Yuki saw where it went and she said know. Kyon knows this is a lie and says nothing. Haruhi leaves to change Mikuru’s outfit and the three left behind strike up the conversation as to what was all that about. It seems Haruhi’s thoughts turned into reality and the Mikuru Beam became real.

The filming for the day finishes and Haruhi decides to film again the next day (Sunday). The SOS brigade, Kyon’s friends, and Tsuruya show up the next day to continue filming the movie. Haruhi is furious as to why Mikuru called in sick. Haruhi goes to pick her up. When she comes back, she has Mikuru in tow. Mikuru tells Kyon that she was “bitten” by Yuki to make it so that she cannot fire the Mikuru beam anymore.

If you were to watch episode 00, you will notice that the movie did show a flash of light when Mikuru said “Mikuru Beam”. They just elaborated what really happened in this episode. If you watched episode 00 you will also see other unexplained things such as Shamisen the cat, and the scene where Koizumi seems to be using esper powers. Though I am a little depressed that they probably won’t show the disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya, I guess this arc does make up for it, even if it’s only a little bit.

Another thing that comes to mind when watching this episode is Yuki. Again Yuki with her kick-a$$ powers coming to save the day again. My overall favorite character in the show did have a good amount of screen time and boy did those burns look painful. Then again nothing as painful as what Araragi went through recently (referring to Bakemonogatari ep 08). All in all, great episode. I can’t wait for Tsuruya to show some importance in the story. The first season didn’t do too much for her :P

Summary
Another loop…. EXCEPT IT ENDED! In the final scene when Kyon is hit hard with de ja vu, he finally realizes that he hadn’t done his hw this whole time while Haruhi needed something to do. So he invites everyone to his house to complete their summer homework.

So it finally ended. Honestly, I think it would have had a pretty big impact on the audience if they all weren’t already spoiled rotten. I also do agree with other bloggers that doing your hw as the solution does seem a bit too shallow for an arc that they spent WAY too much time on. Again, i’m am not a particular supporter of what they did in this arc nor do I promote it. Four endless eight episodes would have already been pushing it but 8? I suppose only a show as amazing as Haruhi Suzumiya can fail so badly on an arc but still get away with it. With regards to rating the arc, if we were to omit all of the crap in between the first part of the arc and the ending, we here at chiakiproject would like to give this arc a rating of
