2011′s Top 10 Anime!

2011 Top 10 Anime!
It’s that time again where we pick our last year’s favorites. We start of with our Top 10 Anime of 2011! Chiaki, Goo and Xeare worked their ass of once again to get this list up here!

Chiaki, Goo, and Xeare’s Top 1-10:
2011 Top 1-5 Anime!2011 Top 6-10 Anime!

Goo:

2011 was quite a unique year for anime. There was a noticable increase in shows in the mystery/detective and slice-of life genre.
The noitamina timeslot also had an excellent run. Time travel also seems to be used as a common plot device. Oh, and loli main characters are found in several shows as well. (That’s a good thing!)

Overall, I liked how this year turned out. There was a lot of variety and quite a lot of memorable shows. (Not to mention all those adorable lolis hohoho) Here’s to hoping that 2012 will be even better!

Xeare:

2011 was awesome, period. Picking out a top ten from all the different genres and anime originals was really tough, and it all brewed down to which ones were more memorable than others. The mystery genre also took a huge boom this year, which is a really nice change of pace from all the harem/romance we’ve been having

The anime industry has been getting better and better very very quickly, and I’m sure 2012 won’t be here to disappoint. Cheers~

Chiaki:

That was tiring. It was a real trouble picking out the top 10, but I have a few titles in my sure list such as Stein;Gate and Madoka. I was expecting that 2011 would decline for the Anime industry because of the “BANS” and stuff. Then I was like zomgwtfbbq! The producers and animators don’t give a F* about bans. And we enjoyed the rest of the year with delicious loli, excellent story lines, excellent animation, and more varied genres. It was a very fullfilling year for any otaku anywhere in the world. I don’t think the world would end this 2012 because the world needs to see more awesome anime!

Autumn 2011 – The Season Ender Post!

Autumn 2011 - The Season End post!
Better late than never, here’s a collection of anime I’ve watched and managed to finish this Autumn 2011, and my 2 cents on each series. If it’s not on the post, it means I dropped it or didn’t give a F. Or I just forgot to add it here. Hohoho. Series are arranged alphabetically.

Ben-To Ends!

Ben-To

As the title suggests, this anime is about Bentos. The extreme and the hidden part of supermarkets where the so called wolves fight for their lives over half priced Bentos. At first I was like WTF is this shi* then it gets interesting every episode. Has a bountiful amount of fan service and ‘what is this I don’t even’ scenes, as expected from a for the lulz anime. I enjoyed this series and I’m sure you will too!

Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai Ends!

Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai

One of my favorites this past season, I can’t wait to see each episode every week. A good amount of comedy and fan service combined. Great visuals and animation, too much eyecandy I may say, but that’s a good thing. Some scenes are NSFW but who cares? Just watch it anywhere! The end didn’t left much impact but the series in itself is quite good. I watch it for the PLOT. Sena’s PLOT ftw! XD

C3 Ends!

C3

I dropped this halfway as I was getting bored for some reason. But I picked it up recently and managed to finish it. I noticed that the too much talk scenes made me drop it. Though there are great Yanderelicious scenes and MOE-licious scenes. Watch out for bloody scenes too. I think there will be another season as the end was left wide open. Has lots of great visuals and fight scenes and a decent amount of fan service.

Fate Zero Ends!
Fate Zero Ends!

Fate Zero

Why did they have to cut this into 2 parts? I was really enjoying this series. Fate Zero is on the top list of must watch this season. A lot of work has been done on this. The Visuals, Animation, Music, Storylines and each scene is brilliantly executed. The animation compared to Fate Stay Night is lightyears in difference. This is almost movie quality. Though they lack at some parts, probably they got budget cuts but it still worked. As for the story line, each episode moves in quite a decent pace. Each Hero summoned are very unique and awesome personalities unlike FSN. What I’m trying to say is that FSN is kidstuff compared to Fate Zero in all aspects. I can’t wait for the second half this year.

Idol M@ster Ends!

Idol M@ster

We were all expecting IM@S to be a great anime, but perhaps they lacked the budget and motivation to do this. Visuals and animation needs more work, It feels rushed even with 25 episodes. The audio part is acceptable, as expected from a music related anime. I do wish that the live / concert scenes had more visual impact than just the usual cutesy stuff. It didn’t worked quite well. But still they tried their best so I’ll give them a one thumb up.

Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon Ends!

Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon

Lots of talking done here and there, got bored in lots of the talk scenes where I didn’t really understand a thing. If it wasn’t for the OPPAI here and there I would have dropped this the moment I saw episode 1. It went good at the last 3 episode where they were saving Horizon. I liked the last episode best. And surprisingly there will be a second season, I do hope they improve on the boring scripts and just get the action and oppai bouncing on!

Maji de Watashi ni Koi Shinasai - Ends!

Maji de Watashi ni Koi Shinasai

I’ve posted Majikoi the moment it ended as I got the time back then. See here for Majikoi end review.

Maken-Ki - Ends!

Maken-Ki

Pantsu filled anime. Lots of low angle shots and clothes ripping here and there. That’s mostly about it.

Mashiro-Iro Symphony - Ends!
Mashiro-Iro Symphony - Ends!
Mashiro-Iro Symphony - Ends!

Mashiro-Iro Symphony

My thoughts on Mashiro-iro didn’t change since the episode 10 post I made here. I’m still surprised with the sudden one girl relationship on a harem anime. Perhaps this is the time for a revolution?

Working!! - Ends!

Working!!

Not much difference with Working season 1. Just some random comedy, slice of life anime. Which is very enjoyable and works well as stress reliever. Had fun watching it and I wouldn’t mind a 3rd season.

Maji de Watashi ni Koishinasai! – Ends!

Maji de Watashi ni Koi Shinasai!
Maji de Watashi ni Koi Shinasai! or simply Majikoi, ends at episode 12. It was an ok anime considering it’s an eroge adaptation. The girls are very lovely both in the anime and in the HCG. A very obvious ending for such an anime is a happy end where everyone lives happily ever after. The protagonist chose to date his hermit crabs rather than the lovely girls. The obvious top choice would be Momoyo but Miyako is fine too. The other girls are not half bad but we do have our faves. So if you appreciate a Romance-Comedy-Harem genre animes then watch Majikoi. It’s not that much a waste of time, it’s entertaining in it’s own way. :berseru:

Maji de Watashi ni Koi Shinasai!
Yukie here is fine too, and very entertaining most of the time. The ventriloquism works well at most scenes.
